National Patient Safety Foundation Appoints Robin Diamond, MSN, JD, RN to Advisory Council for Ambulatory Stand Up for Patient Safety Program
Napa, California—October 21, 2009—The Doctors Company, the largest national insurer of physician and surgeon medical liability, is pleased to announce that the National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF) has appointed Robin Diamond, MSN, JD, RN; AHA Fellow-Patient Safety Leadership; Senior Vice President, Department of Patient Safety, to the organization’s Advisory Council for its Ambulatory Stand Up for Patient Safety Program (ASUPS).
“I am honored to join NPSF’s Advisory Council for the ASUPS and am eager to contribute to the improvement in patient care nationwide,” said Diamond. “The Doctors Company’s mission is to advance and protect the practice of good medicine. Serving on the Advisory Council, we will improve the environment in which all health care professionals practice.”

The ASUPS program provides physician practices and ambulatory settings with significant resources and tools designed to facilitate patient safety and quality efforts. Advisory Council members play an integral role in identifying emerging and relevant information, guiding the ongoing stream of program content, and the sharing of best practices in the field. The term of service for Advisory Council members is two years.
