Agent Credentialing FAQs
These are some of the common questions that agents ask during the credentialing process. We strive to make the process as easy and efficient as possible. Credentialing requests can be sent to memberservices@thedoctors.com or faxed to (707) 265-3466. Claims History reports can be generated on-demand via the Agent/Broker Portal.
Please submit your credentialing request to memberservices@thedoctors.com or by fax to (707) 265-3466. If the request needs to be expedited, call (800) 421-2368, select Option 1 for Member Services and Option 2 for Certificates. A representative will be able to supply you with the requested documents while the portal issue is being investigated. Also, please contact Agency Support to report the portal difficulties.
For all states except New York, please submit your request to memberservices@thedoctors.com or fax to (707) 265-3466. You will need to include the full name and address of the location you would like added as the Certificate Holder. For New York, The Doctors Company cannot generate Certificate Holders. You will need to check your internal processes and likely provide a manual Accord form.
When the member you request the Loss Run report for is no longer in an active status, we no longer consider you an active Broker of Record for that member. Per our security guidelines, please fill out the Consent to Release Form. The release must be signed and dated within 5 business days of the request. We cannot accept an external release form.

Yes, we can provide a Loss Run report in either PDF or Excel format.
With Underwriter approval, we can provide a Detailed Loss Run report.

Unfortunately, a Claims History is not available for an employee or a locum tenens, as we do not hold separate records relating to coverage or claims for an insured who shares limits with a member. Instead, we can provide an Employee or Locum Tenens Coverage Letter.
No, you will no longer have access to policies or members that are not in an active status.
