MICRA Pioneers Honored

Charles A. O’Brien, Esq., a founding member of The Doctors Company, was recently honored by Californians Allied for Patient Protection (CAPP) as a “pioneer of MICRA.” Mr. O’Brien and fellow pioneers Bill Scheuber and Brad Cohn, M.D., helped draft the historic legislation and lobbied for its passage in 1975.

To mark the occasion of MICRA’s 30th anniversary, The Doctors Company hosted a CAPP luncheon on December 16. Former Governor Jerry Brown, who signed MICRA into law, presented each pioneer with a legislative resolution.
